Planet-positive hero
“Can I cheat and choose two? Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai planted trees and hope in equal measure – she made environmentalism feel both deeply practical and deeply human, especially for women. And Kate Raworth is reimagining economics in a way that actually serves people and the planet. Her work challenges the obsession with endless economic growth and instead focuses on meeting everyone’s basic needs – food, education, dignity – without trashing the ecosystem for future generations. It's clever, compassionate and honestly the only kind of growth I’m interested in.”

Issue you care most about changing
“I’d love to see a shift in the ownership and influence of mainstream media – particularly in the UK and US, where so much of it is still run by a handful of billionaires (The Times, Telegraph, Daily Mail) with very specific interests. Even though digital platforms have changed the landscape, traditional media still holds enormous power: it shapes public perception, influences elections and decides which issues get taken seriously. And if that power sits with a self-serving elite, what hope do topics like climate change, equality or human rights have of being represented fairly?”

Latest low-impact life reset
“I’m a skincare addict, so really committing to refillable beauty – for example IRÄYE and Noble Panacea are skincare brands that do this very well, without compromising on luxury. I’ve also tried to cut down on Ubers and taxis when I can – and master the art of the power walk (sometimes in heels!).”

Favourite planet-positive products
“I was recently introduced to N. Peal Cashmere, which has such an incredible heritage –it’s been worn by everyone from Audrey Hepburn to Sean Connery. They use GOTS-certified 100% organic cashmere, which makes it all the more conscious. I’ve also been taking Artahs state-of-the-art supplements for a few years now – they’re B-Corp certified and genuinely make a difference. And Orveda – a clean, green and vegan skincare brand – is the real deal. The results are enough to convert anyone… it’s the reason Pamela Anderson went make-up free, after all!”

All-time top second-hand find
“A pair of vintage terracotta-coloured Bally sandals with black piping that I found while I was at uni. The heel height is perfect – even for a long walk – the design is timeless, and I suspect they’re from the 1980s. The quality still holds beautifully. I’ve just sent them off to be refurbished by the ever-helpful team at Shoe Spa London in Kings Cross, so I can wear them for another 10 years!”

I’m quietly smug about usually not making any weekend plans

Favourite walking route
“I used to live in NW3, and one of my favourite walks was from Primrose Hill, winding up through Hampstead and across the Heath to Highgate. It’s the perfect mix of city and wild – and if you time it right, you can stop at Hampstead Crêperie or The Holly Bush for a little something en route. Also so many underrated architectural gems in that area – The Isokon Building (which I lived in!), Ernő Goldfinger’s 2 Willow Road, Fenton House & Garden and of course, Highgate Cemetery.”

Most joyful weekend moment
“I’m quietly smug about usually not making any weekend plans. My weekdays are back-to-back, so having a completely clean slate feels like the ultimate luxury. Waking up with no schedule, moving slowly and letting the day unfold is pretty indulgent to me.”

Independent coffee shop that makes you happy
“Chelsea Green is my stomping ground – and for the best iced matcha, it has to be Amar Café. And I recently discovered that Birley Bakery does the most heavenly Tarte Tropézienne outside of St. Tropez.”

Second-hand store or market worth a mooch
“The second-hand stores in Chelsea are truly elite. The one closest to me is the British Red Cross shop on Old Church Street – they have a fabulous selection of Manolos, Ferragamos and Jimmy Choos. And if you’re lucky, you might even find a few things that no longer fit in my closet…”

Quote to live by
“‘You can never be overdressed or overeducated.’ Oscar Wilde.”

What gets you every time
“Good taste!”

What is love
“…baby don’t hurt me?”

Causes you give to every month
“Through my work, it would be deforestation charity One Tree Planted – and I really encourage everyone to get involved. It’s as simple as $1 per tree, and small actions like that genuinely add up.”
