My Skin Feels Moisturised
I first discovered My Skin Feels Moisturised at a pop-up shop called Raye The Store (a hub for newness in the beauty, food and drink space) and was instantly drawn by the name, the eye-catching packaging and then, of course, the product on my skin. It’s their bestseller and you totally understand why when you glide it over your cheeks (or even across the back of your hand). It melts in with supreme precision, but what’s really neat is the story behind the brand.
Their founder Danielle (also a part-time psychic medium, no less) worked for a big beauty brand and was fed up with seeing huge waste when it came to ingredients, packaging and, well, the entire business. So she set out to change that with My Skin Feels Mosturised, a 99.57% natural product, that’s vegan, cruelty-free and made without any nasties but instead nutrient-rich food waste. What’s more, its packaging is recycled and a percentage of sales go to a local food bank, plus – it really makes a difference to your skin.
The star of this product is the rescued breakfast oats, which, when fermented, release a rich antioxidant, amino acid and post-biotic that soothes inflammation, balances the microbiome, reduces blemishes and breakouts and prevents dryness. The results – especially on very sensitive or eczema-prone skin – are remarkable. Beauty advocate Jo Jones even said: “If you have teens or a husband who doesn’t really appreciate ‘high science’ skincare that costs a fortune, but they want a good, sustainable, well-thought-through, efficacious product that’s really doing good, rather than just being another product on the shelf, then please look up this brand”.
