About this product

Fresh, floral and quietly sweet, with notes of apple and honey that come through more clearly the longer you let it steep. Good for winding down in the evening or as a caffeine-free option through the afternoon.

The tea bags are Soilon corn starch, fully compostable including the string and tag. Certified plastic-free by A Plastic Planet since 2019. Outer box is recyclable cardboard.

This chamomile uses whole yellow-gold blossoms, which is why the apple and honey notes come through so clearly. We stock it as the last cup of the day.

How to use

One bag per cup (200ml)

Brew with water just off the boil (98°C) for 5 minutes

Good on its own or with a spoonful of honey

A B Corp since December 2023, Good & Proper Tea is committed to "doing things properly," minimizing environmental footprint, and maximizing social impact. They're Rainforest Alliance certified and Fairtrade sourced, paying producers above Fairtrade standards and building direct relationships, as seen with Malawian smallholders, and also hold Ethical Tea Partnership and Buy Women Built accreditations.

Their commitment extends to packaging and operations. They use 100% plastic-free, compostable Natureflex (from renewable wood pulp) for inner tea bags and loose leaf packaging, with FSC-certified card for the rest. All orders ship from their SE London warehouse, powered by renewable energy. They uphold high reuse and recycling standards, including the "Forgive me, I’m an ugly box" initiative. Good & Proper Tea aims to drive industry change through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
