About this product

Light it and within a few minutes something shifts in the room. The scent is coastal and cool — not floral, not sweet, not the generic idea of the sea. It is petrichor: the smell that rises when rain meets warm dry stone, sharpened with a marine edge and something softer that reads like wet moss on a harbour wall.

It suits a particular kind of evening. November rain against the window. A room with not much light. Nowhere else to be.

Made in Margate from natural soy wax, sized at 240ml. Burn two to three hours at a time for an even melt. The glass jar is worth keeping once the wax is spent.

Why it's BRiMM

The word pluviophile describes a person who finds comfort in rain. This candle is for those people. The fragrance was built around a specific moment — the smell of raindrops hitting dry concrete by the sea — and it captures it with unusual accuracy. You know the smell. You have probably never bought it.

Every Dulcie fragrance is encoded with GPS coordinates pointing to a location near Margate. This one is no different. It is a place, pressed into wax.

How to use

Light and allow a full surface melt before extinguishing — around 2 to 3 hours — for the most even burn. Keep away from draughts.

Pairs well with the Dulcie Bladderwrack and Pumpkin Moisturising Lotion for a full sensory routine on a quiet evening.

About This Brand

dulcie (Formerly Known As Haeckels) champions nature and tackles waste. Their mission: solve the waste problem by utilizing natural waste in products and offering recyclable/compostable packaging.

Seaweed, hand-picked in Margate, UK, forms their product base. It’s a hydrating, vitamin-rich, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory powerhouse, ethically harvested under license.

Innovation drives them. Globally distributed, they uphold an "ocean first" philosophy; every action has purpose.

They innovate with responsible, utility-driven packaging. Skin, bath, and body products are now in 100% home-compostable Vivomer, biodegrading within a year. They've eliminated most secondary packaging and added QR codes for reuse/compost instructions.

Vivomer packaging is dishwasher-safe for reuse or can be returned via pre-paid postage for reuse/composting at their farm, contributing to community food growth. They’re proud 88% of their packaging is compostable/refillable, aiming for 95%+ by early 2025.

Pumps and pipettes aren't compostable; please remove them. Pumps are monoplastic and recyclable.
